KYKAO BREWERY
The name of KYKAO was inspired by an alcoholic drink made in ancient times, the Kykeon. In this, alcohol would be brewed with various herbs and ingredients with variable results. The word Kykeon is still used today in modern Greek to describe turmoil and disorder. The name was carefully chosen to describe what these brewers are actually doing. After up scaling from home brewing, we have maintained a strictly hands-on process of crafting numerous beers with experimental ingredients...
OUR LEGACY
KYKAO was established in 2018, when three friends and homebrewers decided that plastic buckets were no longer enough. We started our journey from a small area near the city of Patra, where we produced our first craft beers. We don’t specialize in one beer we specialize in evry beer we make and we make evry single one of them by hand. Experimental by default, KYKAO handcrafted is on it's way to stir up the beer sence in Greece.
