Islay Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
A couple of years back we got a few Islay barrels from Speyside cooperage. These barrels had a colossal aroma of moss with some earthy notes, a beautiful blend of earth and sea! The only beer that could withstand such a storm was a rich and roasty Imperial Stout. After almost two years of aging, it transformed into a velvety, smooth thick monster which remarkably balances its intense elements! Earth, water, air and fire randomly cobined in every sip!
